Courteney Cox wants to create a scent inspired by her partner Johnny McDaid.

The 'Scream VI' actress previously created a fragrance based on her 20-year-old daughter Coco - who she had with her ex-husband David Arquette - and for her next venture, she'd like to come up with something inspired by the Snow Patrol musician's Northern Irish roots with her own Alabama background.

Speaking at the at the Inc. 5000 45th Annual Conference and Gala, People magazine reports she said: "I think that there's something that should be done in bringing in him. I don't know if I should say it. I want to do a scent with him.

"I think it would be nice to do a scent with my partner, who I love, and how I could make something really beautiful from Ireland.

"I'm from Alabama, kind of joining things, something about our heritage together."

The 60-year-old actress teamed up with her daughter for a Cocomoi collection for her Homecourt business earlier this year, and she praised Coco for coming up with "the most beautiful board" to represent the range, which included body butter, perfume, and candles with scents of coconut, fig, black pepper, and cedarwood.

She said: "When making the mood board for Cocomoi, I told her the idea of what I wanted - green and wet and woodsy.

"I think if you look at our website and our Instagram, it's just all of the shots are really classy. And the Cocomoi stuff really came from a few words that I said, but her inspiration.

"I am really, really proud of it. She's got great taste and she's got great attitude."

Coco previously explained the fragrance evoked her childhood memories of family beach trips.

She told America's Harper's Bazaar magazine in August: "A lot of my favourite memories with my mom are centered around being at the beach.

"The scents of the beach, ocean air, and coconuts are all special to me.

"This fragrance is very sophisticated and grounded, but also beachy with the coconut water, and it takes me back to all those wonderful memories."
