Auto review: 2025 Porsche Cayenne is no longer a hybrid dream
Published in Automotive News
While Porsche has no problem creating cars with outstanding power and unfathomable beauty, in 2025 their flagship gets better. Not only the addition of the E-Hybrid which rolled out for all of the SUV fleet as an option, but the addition of the Turbo E-Hybrid in 2025, which is a dream for many car buyers.
As recently reviewed in Grasso’s Garage, the Porsche Cayenne certainly appeals to many consumers as it really fills a lot of wants in consumers' punch list. Adding a hybrid option to the mix is the icing on the cake. Getting almost 47 miles per gallon, at the turn of a dial the Turbo E-Hybrid goes from a comfortable and efficient hybrid to a dream ride of 700+ horsepower.
Powering the 2025 Cayenne Turbo E-Hybrid is a 4.0-liter town-turbocharged V-8/E-machine engine with 729 horsepower and 700 pound-feet of torque. It's earth-shattering and ground-pounding to say the least. Wrapped around a $151K base price, the Cayenne Turbo E-Hybrid boasts a Chalk exterior, black and silver houndstooth interior, with a slew of additional options in typical Porsche fashion: technology package, premium package, soft close doors and rear-axle steering were just a few in our test vehicle.
While being the first to test the 2025 Porsche Cayenne Turbo E-Hybrid, we enjoyed a sense of aura surrounding the outstanding SUV for not only its design, comfort and fuel efficiency, but the ability to turn the dial and bring a well-crafted machine alive. That really hits home in Grasso’s Garage. Similar to Porsche's Macan, which we love, this just puts a cherry on top in preparation for what could possibly be next.
