Bannerman, Xunise, Konar, Lawton, Patrinos & Piro

Since its launch in 2000, Six Chix has been delivering their unique brand of humor -- with each artist creating a cartoon for one day of the week, and rotating Sundays. Isabella Bannerman appears on Mondays, Bianca Xunise on Tuesdays, Susan Camilleri Konar on Wednesdays, Mary Lawton on Thursdays, Maritsa Patrinos on Fridays, and Stephanie Piro on Saturdays.

Six Chix was created by Jay Kennedy, the late editor-in-chief of King Features. A fan of underground comics, it was Jay’s mission to bring more diversity to the comics pages. With Bianca Xunise’s addition to Six Chix, Xunise became the first Black nonbinary cartoonist to be nationally syndicated. Through the years, the Six Chix roster has included a Pulitzer Prize winner, Reubens awards winners, and has had successes in book publishing, greeting cards, licensing and museum exhibits.
