Marc Munroe Dion

Political opinion columnist Marc Munroe Dion doesn't believe in choosing sides. His experience on his high school debate team -- where he was the No. 5 ranked high school orator in America in 1975 -- led him through college, graduate school, and finally into a job at the Associated Press.

Dion also wrote for papers such as the Kansas City Star and Providence Journal before starting his column "Living and Dion." His working-class upbringing and independent leanings mix with his sense of humor to shine a light on political issues, as opposed to political parties.
